The will of God is a topic that often has a question that follows it. What is the will of God for me? We know that God’s will is for us to love others, to love Him, to be kind, and to do good to others. That is a given from what we read in scripture. But I think that God’s will for us has to do with daily life as well. And the best way that I have found to discern His will is the peace that I have. If it is His will He will give us the grace to do it with peace in our hearts.

If we are struggling trying to do something in life and we have that unpeaceful feeling within our hearts then most likely what we are doing is something that God has not instructed us to do, therefore not being in His will for us. If it is God’s will for us to do something then we can do it with joy no matter how much we may dislike doing it because of His grace. He will equip us with what we need to carry out His will for us.

If you are questioning what His will is for you then think about the desires in your heart. Pat attention to the peace or lack of peace that you have about something. And no matter how hard it may appear to be to do what His will is for you, know that you can accomplish it because He gives us the grace and strength to do His will. He never expects us to do anything without giving us the means to do it. And always remember what is impossible with man, is possible with God.
