We sure do serve such a good and mighty God. At times it may seem that we are all alone in this thing we call life but we are far from that. When trying times come we may find our faith being tested and it may seem as if we are in a whirlwind of choas. But the mighty God that we serve will never leave us and he is where our trust must stay in the midst of choas and the unknown.

When we have something completely unexpected or devastating come our way we get to make a choice because of our belief in our savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Because we believe in him we get to choose to believe that he will work all things for the good because we love him and he loves us. We may not see how anything good could possibly come from what it is that we are enduring but if we put our trust in him and follow his guidance we can rest in the fact that he can do things that we can’t and he makes a way when there doesn’t seem to be one.

Sometimes doors get closed that seem like our lives are over or our dreams are crushed. It seems like everything that we have worked to build or achieve has all been for nothing. It may even seem as if the foundation of what we have come to know of as life has been torn down. But God never closes one door without opening another. We may feel like our lives are over or our dreams are crushed but this is the time that we get to activate our faith in God. This is the time that we get to make a choice of trusting that he is making the way for something much better than what we have at the moment. In the midst of the unknown is where we put our faith and trust that he is working behind the scene and doing something amazing.

There are hundreds of good promises from God throughout the Bible. There are promises that will fit and bring comfort in any type of trouble that we may face in life. There is also a promise that we will face trials and tribulations in this life. But Jesus says to take heart because he has already overcome the world. I take from this scripture that because he has already overcome the world, that through him, we too will overcome anything that comes our way.

Life is full of uncertainties, unknowns, surprises, set backs, and maybe even a knock down or two. There is nothing that we can do to avoid these things. Our life may be full of sunshine and rainbows for 20 years and all the sudden, in the blink of an eye,, our world gets rocked and crumbles. Even then we have a reason for hope, a reason to fight the good fight, a reason to put our trust in he who knows the end from the beginning. This too shall pass because we can do all things through Christ Jesus and he will never leave us nor forsake us. Those are only three of God’s promises but they give great encouragement in times of trouble.

No matter what you are facing now or will face in the future put your hope in God’s promises and ask for his guidance and encouragement. There is a power that comes from his word that we can get no where else. There is a hope that only his promises can provide. Therefore when we come to face a trial or tribulation we have to turn to the word and his promises to empower us to get through it and come out on top of the other side of it. Never give up on him because he never gives up on you.
