How we mentally and emotionally start our day often sets the tune for the entire day. If we start our day with positive thoughts we are already one step ahead of the enemy in having a victorious day. There are certain things that we can do to prep our mind, empower our inner being, and set our minds on the right track. The following is a morning routine that you can do to make sure that you start your day in a positive, powerful, and joyful way.

Thankfulness helps us to focus on positive things, getting our mindset going in a uplifting directions. It lifts up our moods from the feeling of gratitude. Think of at least 5 things that u are thankful for and speak them out loud.

Self affirmations are important for us to be able to remind ourselves of the good qualities and abilities that we have. They empower us to be the person that we were created to be, that we want to be, and hold to the values that we have. Think of at least 5 good qualities that you have and speak them out loud.

Power statements are essential to setting our minds for the day ahead. It brings to the front of our conscience our ambitions and desires. It encourages us to do what we need to do to live out our best day. Start your statement something like this. Today is a new day full of new possibilities. I will not allow circumstances or others to steal my peace and joy from me. I will stand my ground against the enemy and his schemes. I will do what I need to do when I need to do it and not let my feelings get in the way. I choose to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit today. (Add and/or replace what you need to make the statement personal and speak of what you need/desire). Speak your statement out loud.

Prayer to finalize the routine is the final step to starting our day off positive. Ask Jesus to help you every step of your journey and to keep your focus where it needs to be. We know that with God on our side nothing is impossible and that we can do all things through Jesus. When we align our mental and emotional state with our spiritual state we can not go wrong.

This something that we have to do on purpose everyday until it becomes a part of our daily routine. Life is going to have it’s ups and downs and there is no way to avoid that fact. But we can do things to help us deal with and handle the down times. And starting our day in a positive way is a great way to get our mind set in the right direction to do so.
