Did you know that we believe more of what we tell ourselves than what anybody else tells us. And what we believe is truth and reality for us. Even if it is a lie, for us it is the truth, because we believe it. So if we are believing a lie, our lives are not as good as they could be. If we believe a lie about ourselves, we are living a lie. And the enemy loves to place lies about ourselves in our heads for the purpose of keeping us from a great life. He loves to destroy us from the inside out. He knows that if he can get us to believe that we are not good enough, that we can not do something, that we are not worthy of better than what we have at the moment, that we are not smart enough, that we do not deserve it, or that we are not strong enough, we will defeat ourselves and he doesn’t have to work every hard to keep us from enjoying and loving ourselves or our lives. And if he can get us to think about lies of ourselves over and over then he is able to make us believe them.

It is so important that we do not allow ourselves to think poorly of ourselves. We must not say things like, ” I’m so stupid, I have made too many mistakes, nobody is ever going to love me, I will never be able to _________, I can not _________, I don’t deserve better”. We are defeating ourselves when we talk like that. We have to say things like, “I am smart, I am valuable, I can do whatever I need to do, I am strong, I am valuable, I can ________, I will _________, I deserve __________. And we are all these things because of Jesus. He is all that we are not and we have him iving inside of us, therefore, we are all that He is. He is our strength in our weakness, our ability in our inability, our source of what ever we lack. Everything that we were not, we now are because of Jesus.

Speak good of yourself. Speak and think positively of yourself and your future. Do not let the enemy put lies about yourself into your mind and then start to think about them over and over. Speak the truth of who you are through Jesus and give the enemy a big black eye. He will not be able to defeat us if we stand up against his lies with the truth of who we are.
