I can do it

One of my biggest problems for many years was that I let my feelings and the enemy control my life. If I didn’t feel like doing something I would come up with all kinds of excuses as to why I couldn’t do it. To not face failure or rejection I would not even try to accomplish something that I wanted to do in my life. I believed the lies that the enemy put in my head about myself.  And as a result of all of that I walked around with a lack of purpose and value. Because I was not living up to my potential I kept a negative view of myself and lack of confidence.

When the Lord gave me a deep understanding of the scripture (Phil 4:13) that says that I can do whatever I need to do because I have the power of Christ in me, something in me changed. I began to have confidence in the mist of my fear of failure and rejection. I began to have motivation and determination to do what I needed to do.  And as I started to accomplish the things that I needed or wanted to accomplish I started to have a better self image and value of myself.

Knowing that we can accomplish anything that we are wanting or needing to do because we not only have our own strength, we have the strength of Jesus,  gives us what it is that we are lacking. It gives us the assurance that where ever we fall weak at, Jesus gives us His strength.  It helps us to know that we can do it. We can do our part while Jesus is doing His part. I encourage you today to know that you have what you need to do whatever it is that you need or want to do. And do not let the enemy tell you any different.  What is it that you are lacking confidence  in being able to do today? Will you put your trust in Jesus and take steps forward in accomplishing it, trusting that where you are weak, He is strong?
