God said, “You are approved”

God's view of me. Who God created me to be. Accept and love yourself.

God created each and every one of us just as He wanted us to be. He has given each one of us special gifts and talents for His purpose for our lives. He has put something unique in us to share with the world. The problem is that until we know how God views us, walk in alignment with God, and decide to follow the Holy Spirit, we can’t be all that we were created to be, nor have the life that He created us for. When we are living the worldly life we may think that everything is good but if we look within we are usually missing something. It may be purpose, peace, joy, contentment, love, compassion, satisfaction, or the feeling of being complete. Those feelings are there because we are not living up to our full potential and our spirit knows it. Because Jesus lives within our spirit and is part of us we have all that we need to be able to do and have all that we dream of, want, and desire. We also have all the things that we may have been searching the world, people, or things for, such as love, acceptance, and freedom. See real life starts within us. The condition of our heart (spirit) is what makes life and it starts with accepting ourselves with flaws and all, just as Jesus has.

We are each unique, special, a masterpiece created by God. If we do not accept and love ourselves the way that He created us to be then we are not accepting and receiving the love that God has for us. We may not love the things that we do but we are not what we do. Our true selves are our hearts, which is what God sees when He looks at us. He doesn’t love us for what we do. He loves us because He created us. Until we are at peace with ourselves we will not be able to totally enjoy life. We will always feel like we have to do or be better, causing us to be dissatisfied and unhappy. When we are unhappy with ourselves we tend to think that God is unhappy with us too. If we do not accept ourselves we think that we if we can’t accept ourselves then to be sure God doesn’t accept us either. But that is far from the truth and it is called condemnation. It one of satan’s tactics to interfere with our relationship with God.

Another thing that can cause us to not approve of ourselves is comparison. We can’t compare ourselves to others. Just because someone is good at something doesn’t mean that we are suppose to be good at it too. Just because someone has overcome a sin or accomplished a big goal does not mean that we should have already done so too. Just because you have knowledge and understanding about something doesn’t mean that the next person should know it too. Each one of us are meant to NOT be able to do it all, know it all, or have it all together. If we did then we wouldn’t need each other and we wouldn’t need Jesus. We should embrace the fact that we can’t do it all or that we don’t know it all because that’s when we can humble ourselves. God created us to need each other and for relationship but if we were all the same then we wouldn’t need each other or be able to benefit from each other.

God says that you are approved!! He has given you the golden seal of approval in His book. He accepts you just as you are, including the messy side of you. He loves every part of you with everlasting, unfailing love. And He wants you to love yourself the same way. You can not like everything that you do without not liking yourself. Accept the fact that you are not perfect, nor will you ever be able to be perfect (so stop trying to be something that you can never be). Accept the fact that you can’t do it all, know it all, or be it all because no one can. Accept who God created you to be and walk with Him so that He can lead you on the journey to become that person (but love and accept the process). Love yourself because you are special, talented, unique in your own way, created and dearly loved by God, and you were put on this earth for specific purpose. The world needs you. God needs you. Your family and friends need you. I need you. And others need what you have to offer.
